About Us

Welcome to The Zero Waste List, we are sustainability-minded individuals trying to make sustainability and zero waste a more approachable and achievable goal. Our mission is to help others reduce their impact on the environment through the use of more sustainable, plastic-free products, easy-to-execute lifestyle changes, and the support of charities & groups that support a greener world. We hope to share how easy it is to live a more sustainable, zero-waste-oriented life and inspire others to take their first steps toward realizing their own waste, energy or carbon footprint reduction goals.

We’re here to share our passion for waste reduction, plastic reduction, and our journey toward living a greener, more sustainable life. We started the new decade targeting the waste and plastic in our lives and want to share our successes and failures with our readers.

“We don’t need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly.”

— Anne Marie Bonneau

Even if you don’t know where to start or which step to take, make that leap to do something, however small, to make an impact on your waste stream, your energy usage, or your carbon footprint. We’ve been able to make some remarkable improvements in our goals since we started. It’s amazing how starting with something small can really inspire you to take a look at other aspects of your life and bit by bit those changes start to add up.

While the journey may seem daunting, it’s really a much easier path to start down than we once thought. Whether it was being more thoughtful and changing some of the items we use in our life, finding local farmers and shopping more locally, or unplugging an unused piece of electronics, these small changes begin to create something of a snowball effect that can pay dividends for your life and the planet.
